This single-day clinic provides a comprehensive crash course in elite catching. Over four hours, players will train every core skill behind the plate—receiving, blocking, throwing, and leadership—through progressive drills, competitions, and classroom-style leadership instruction. Hour 1 – Receiving & Set-Up Primary, secondary, and situational stances Glove presentation, pocket awareness, soft hands Quiet body and stability drills Receiving competitions for precision and control Hour 2 – Blocking & Mobility Blocking technique: angles, recovery, lateral movement Controlled chaos reaction drills with varied surfaces Mobility/stability training: hips, T-spine, core Competitive blocking circuits Hour 3 – Throwing & Pop Time Development Transfer mechanics and footwork breakdown Pop time measurement and progressions Situational throws: bunts, pickoffs, steals Arm care and velocity-building protocols Hour 4 – Leadership, Game Management & Competition Pitcher–catcher communication and mound presence Leadership and confidence training module Game-calling scenarios and situational awareness Full-clinic competition tying together receiving, blocking, and throwing
