Battery Camp (Pitchers and Catchers)

Service Description

The Berg Backstops Battery Camp is designed to develop pitchers and catchers as one unit — because the best batteries don’t just throw and receive, they communicate, adjust, and compete together. This Camp is for Grades 4-8. Please specify either Pitcher, Catcher or Both in the comments section on signup. Pitching instruction during the Battery Camp will be led by Houston High, Director of Pitching Development at Lipscomb, and Kaleb Kantola, a senior pitcher at Lipscomb. Their participation is independent of Lipscomb University, and their involvement does not imply institutional endorsement of Berg Backstops. All instruction is provided as part of a privately operated camp. Pitchers will focus on: • Pitch design and intent • Movement patterns and pitch execution • Pre-pitch preparation and game awareness Catchers will focus on: • Receiving and blocking with intent • Pitch calling and game management • Leadership, communication, and controlling the tempo After individual skill work, pitchers and catchers come together for live bullpens, building trust, rhythm, and real in-game communication. This camp is about more than mechanics. It’s about winning the pitch, building confidence, and learning how to lead — together.
